Rare War Issue in dust-wrappers.. First and only edition of this title. " Indien " was only published in German and covers Burma, Java and Ceylon and contains a panorama of Himalayas. The endpapers are dated "January 1942" which indicates this volume was issued during the War. It is very unusual to find copies in such fine condition and with dust-wrappers.

First edition. lxxiv, 358pp, 22 maps, 33 plans, 8 floorplans, including folding map inserted loose in sleeve on rear pastedown, publisher's variant coarse-grained red cloth gilt, original printed buff-coloured dust-wrapper; a very good copy.
