Max Emanuel Stern (known by Hebrew name Menakhem Mendel ben Isaac Stern, 1811-1873) was a Jewish-Austro-Hungarian author, poet and translator. for a period of time he worked as a proofreader at the well known Hebrew printing house of Anton Edler von Schmid. during his lifetime Stern published many translations of Jewish prayer books, as well as his own compositions of poetry, Hebrew and Aramaic dictionaries and more.
Presumed second edition. 8vo, publisher's embossed ornamental pink boards, with gilt border and Hebrew title to spine, slightly rubbed, housed in its original marbled slipcase, marbled endpapers, with library stamp to verso, text in Hebrew and Yiddish; [1], 67 ll.
