The Ascent of Everest.
Hodder and Stoughton, London. 1953
The inscription reads to "The Spencer Family in recollection of a delightful visit on the reunion of the 50th anniversary of the Wayfarer's club under Geoffrey''s presidency. John Hunt 22/11/56." The Wayfarers' Club was established in 1906 with the aim to encourage and promote mountaineering, rock climbing and mountain walking. Geoffrey Spencer was the president of the club in its 50th year of existence and this book has been dedicated to him by John Hunt in that year, when they met. It is a nice mountaineering association between the leader of the successful Everest expedition team and the president of this mountaineering club.
