Collection: Thomas Rowlandson

Thomas Rowlandson (1757-1827) was an English artist and caricaturist of the Georgian Era, noted for his political satire and social observation. A prolific artist and printmaker, Rowlandson produced a wide variety of illustrations for novels, joke books, and topographical works. 

Popular works include: The Microcosm of London, 1808-1810; The English Dance of Death, 1814; Naples and the Campagna Felice, 1815; Characteristic Sketches of the Lower Orders, 1820; and various Dr. Syntax titles.
