The Donaldsons moved to a house near Piers Court in 1947, thereafter remaining close friends of Waugh until his death in 1966. The following year Frances published Evelyn Waugh: Portrait of a Country Neighbour (1967).
New edition, the first to include the Waugh preface, inscribed presentation copy from Evelyn Waugh; 8vo; illustrations by Christopher Sykes; publisher's cloth, pictorial yellow dust-jacket; housed in custom cloth drop-back box. A very good copy in the dust jacket.
