In In de Krant, he succeeded in appearing in the newspaper on no less than seventeen occasions, though not on 10 consecutive days.
Hans Eijkelboom's work is concerned with the way in which society presents itself in everyday appearance and how that appearance is stipulated by factors such as personality and social position. He documents these sociological enquiries by creating photographic typologies of faces, housing and clothing. Also of interest to him is the mediating role photography plays in the relationship between dress, external appearance, and personality, as well as in the role of photography as a means to create evidence.
