This autobiographical book gives an overview of her childhood in Australia, her career as an actress, and then as a photographer using the professional name Alice Springs. It ends with a postscript explaining Helmut's death at the Château Marmont on 23 January 2004, with a brief sequence of photographs made by June at this time.
