First edition, first impression; 8vo; illustrations, including colour frontispiece, light foxing to text block, hinge pulled on frontis, otherwise binding tight; publisher's pictorial brown cloth, blue lettering to spine and upper cover, dark blue topstain, minor rubbing to head of spine, corners slightly bumped, with the unclipped pictorial dust-jacket, corners chipped, spine ends chipped with loss, large closed tear to rear panel, a few short closed tears to top edge.
