First editions, first impressions, signed by the author; 5 vols, 8vo; minor offsetting to endpapers of first volume, else unmarked internally; publisher's green cloth (vol. 1), black cloth (vols 2 and 3), and red boards (vols 4 and 5), gilt lettering to spines, black topstain to volume 4, green topstain to volume 5, minor spotting to fore-edge of volume 4, with the unclipped dust-jacket, traces of internal repair to jacket of volume 1, light staining to volume 2, short closed tear to top edge of volume 3; a very good set.
