An unusually good copy of Dahlberg's first book, published first in London in both a limited and trade edition; recounting the author's childhood experiences at an orphanage in Kansas City and his travels in the American West.

First edition of the author's first book, number 177 of 520 copies; 8vo; bookplate on front pastedown; publisher's black cloth lettered in gilt, printed dust-jacket, clipped, slightly toned, minor chipping to top edge, but overall very good.

Roberts B26 (Lawrence)

Provenance

Noted Californian bibliophile & book collector Ingle Barr, with his ex libris bookplate.
