Views in Italy.
Holy week in Rome.
[c.1900].
The engravings were originally designed by Ranieri Grassi for The Main Factories of Pisa (1829), which he sometimes redrew for later editions, and the engravings were also sold separately in both monochrome and colour. They show the Piazza del Duomo of Pisa, the Pisa Baptistery of St. John, the Tower of Pisa, the inside of the Campo Santo, and the Santa Maria della Spina.
The engravings designed by Marroni are also mid to late 19th-century and show tourists in the Vatican, the statue of St. Peter, and religious ceremonies being conducted in Rome including several depicting the Pope, and one within the Sistine chapel.
