Thomas Griffith Taylor (1880-1963) was a renowned geographer and was appointed Senior Geologist on the Terra Nova Expedition by Scott. He led the team as they gathered much scientific data and analyses of regions of Antarctica, and one of the party which survived the ill-fated expedition.
