David Holden was chief foreign correspondent for The Sunday Times, specialising in Middle-Eastern affairs, from 1965 until his death in 1977. His murder in Cairo was never solved, despite the editor of The Sunday Times Harold Evans sending three of his best investigative journalists to uncover the truth, and he was later suspected of being a CIA/KGB double-agent.
