There were only four editions of this title published separately. The first four editions were included with Denmark and Northern Europe. The eighth edition was the penultimate with the final ninth edition published in 1897.
Manuscript notes throughout possibly by the author, Thomas Michell ( 1835-1899), Consul-General for the Kingdom of Norway in 1880.
Publisher's interleaved copy of the eighth edition; large 8vo, 187pp interleaved with blank ruled blue pages, numerous maps and plans, some coloured and folding also interleaved, some annotations, manuscript letter also inserted loose, manuscript notes inside in ink and pencil; publisher's original red cloth gilt, slightly worn in parts; a good firm copy.
