This is the third and final volume of the 'England Reclaimed' trilogy, which Sitwell began in 1927. On the Continent is a series of portraits in verse of an English colony on the Continent, and of the way in which the individuals who composed it thought and acted, as seen through English eyes.
First edition, inscribed by the author to Sacheverell and Georgia Sitwell; 8vo; (22.1 x 14.5 cm); half-title, endpapers slightly browned, text clean and bright; publisher's smooth orange buckram, gilt lettering to spine, black topstain, unclipped pictorial dust-jacket lightly marked, otherwise a very good copy; [xiv], 109pp, [1, printer's imprint].
