The recipient was the author Philip Norman, best known for his biographies of the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Buddy Holly and Elton John.

Second edition, inscribed by the author; 8vo; colour frontispiece, gift inscription to front flyleaf, slight spotting to top corner of first few leaves, bookseller's ticket to front pastedown; publisher's red cloth, black lettering to spine and upper cover, spine slightly darkened, corners bumped, spine tips rubbed; very good.
