First edition; 2 vols in 1, 8vo (23.5 x 16 cm), half-title in vol. one; 65 hand-coloured engraved plates, 11 maps of which 10 folding, some light offsetting from plates otherwise clean internally; 19th-century full blue straight-grained morocco rebacked later in matching morocco, boards gilt rolled, board edges and turn-ins gilt rolled, spine decorated and lettered in gilt in six compartments, all edges speckled red, later endpapers, extremities a little rubbed; [4], xv, [1], 154, vii, [1], 190, [2]pp.
