First edition, inscribed to the author by Elsa Scammell (d. 2003); 8vo; 16 black and white plates, printed address label of Rodney and Elsa Scammell to front free endpaper, scattered light foxing, leaves slightly toned; publisher's yellow cloth, central silver device to upper cover and spine, silver lettering to spine, corners and spine ends slightly rubbed, blue topstain, other edges uncut, with the unclipped pictorial dust-jacket within glassine wrapper, light wear to extremities, NPG tissue wrapper with label, overall a very good copy.
