There were two limited issues of this first printing of How It Is: series A in vellum (also limited to 100 copies) and series B in tan morocco, as here. The copy found here is decidedly more scarce, especially inscribed.
First edition, first impression, number 6 of 100 copies on handmade paper signed by the author, additionally inscribed on the half-title; 8vo; unmarked internally; originally full tan morocco, spine ruled and lettered in gilt, top edge gilt, others uncut and unopened, a lovely copy in the lightly rubbed slipcase.
