12 vols, 12 mo (16.5 x 10.5 cm); engraved portrait frontispiece by Ridley, numerous engraved plates after Stothard et al., publisher's device to titles, divisional titles dated 1798, old cataloguing note tipped-in to front pastedown of vol. 1, old bookseller's label to front pastedown of vols 2-12; contemporary tree calf, gilt spines, contrasting black morocco lettering-piece, slightly rubbed with occasional loss, vol. 2 upper joint cracked but holding, old repairs, internally clean, very good.
